Yes. The SS Badger, in service since 1953, is the last coal fired passenger vessel operating on the Great Lakes and the last powered by Skinner Unaflow engines. It was designated a National Historic Landmark on January 20, 2016. Source
In 2015 the SS Badger ferry route was officially designated part of US 10, so the highway continues across 62 miles of open water between Ludington and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Source
Big Sable Point Lighthouse sits inside Ludington State Park with no road to its door, so visitors hike about 1.8 miles to get there. The 1867 tower stands 112 feet tall with 130 steps to the lantern room. Source
Still debated Ludington has a state historical marker at the mouth of the Pere Marquette River saying he did, but Frankfort has a marker of its own at the mouth of the Betsie River, placed a year earlier in 1965. Historians still disagree about which river matches the 1675 account. Source
